What Time Do Bars Close in Nashville?

John Cooper, the mayor of Nashville, TN, has eased most coronavirus restrictions now that most people have been immunized. Face masks are no longer required at Nashville’s bars, and Bars in Music City can resume operations as usual. In actuality, it had been in effect since July 2020 and was officially lifted on May 14, 2021.

Note that while some bars were forced to close because of Omicron variants, most have re-opened by now. How late are bars open in Nashville? Tennessee’s long standing alcohol regulation is now in force: Nashville allows bars to stay open until 3:00 AM. As long as they don’t sell alcohol, restaurants can be open whenever customers want them to be. However, they only legally sell beer after midnight, and alcoholic drinks are banned entirely well after 1:00 AM.

And just a small reminder to avid bar-hoppers in Nashville. Section 7.24.040 of Metro Code, commonly known as the “Solo Cup Law”, states that it is currently illegal to possess any alcoholic beverage in an opened glass, aluminum, or metal container in a public place unless the location is authorized for on-site consumption. Remember that your bar crawls.

Legends Corner – No. 1 Country Bar in Nashville

Contact: 615-248-6334

Opening & Closing time: Monday-Sunday 10:00 AM – 2:30 AM

Website: https://www.legendscorner.com

Legend’s is a much-loved but often underrated bar on Broadway, Nashville. There is usually excellent music, it never seems overly crowded, and craft beer may be purchased at or below market price. Market price! This means delicious beer for what a Bud Light costs anywhere else in downtown. The walls of Legend are adorned with vintage vinyl albums, instruments, and memorabilia of the greatest music stars as a fitting tribute to the country’s rich history.

For those with phones starting to run low, grab a seat at the bar and charge your phone there; there are outlets down the full length of the bar (so convenient!). You can see the musicians on stage much better from upstairs. It’s also incredible to view the bachelorette parties, locals, and tourists tripping down the alley next to the Ryman from the terrace in the rear.

Since opening its doors in 1960, Tootsie has been a mainstay of Nashville’s music performances by country, blues, and bluegrass artists. The music is always enjoyable, even when the performers aren’t household names. Live music may be heard on all 3 main levels with 3 stages from opening to closing.

Even Hollywood stars can’t resist the town’s unique allure. Although it may at first glance appear like any other dive pub, this Nashville-based bar is one of the best spots to hear country music in the South. The restaurant also serves delicious food, and the club has world-famous musicians like Kid Rock, Miranda Lambert and Luke Bryan.

Website: http://www.laylasnashville.com

Layla’s is a historic piece of Nashville, since it is one of the longest-operating honky tonks on Lower Broadway. There’s a pleasant atmosphere, cool beer is always available, and the staff is friendly. It’s not a place to go if you’re looking for a wide selection of drinks, as the beer and cocktail menus are somewhat limited. But enjoy the tasty meals from their menu – try the poblano popper bites!

As a native Kentuckian (who grew up listening to Bluegrass), I can attest to the popularity of Layla’s. You probably won’t enjoy Layla’s music if you’re not into Bluegrass. They do a fantastic job of keeping their live music calendar up to date, so you can always find out who is performing. Don’t know who’s playing? Drop in, nonetheless, and see Garth Brooks, a music icon in country music.

Opening & Closing time: Sunday – Thursday 11:00 AM – 2:30 AM; Friday & Saturday 10:00 AM – 2:30 AM

Website: https://www.rippyshonkytonk.com

Rippy’s is conveniently located directly across from the plaza of Bridgestone Arena, making it the ideal venue to watch before a hockey game or event. During the day, people enjoy visiting Rippy’s the most; As the sun goes down, it’s not nearly as exciting. But, with so many screens to watch the game on, Rippy’s is a fantastic nighttime destination for sports enthusiasts.

Get some cuisine at Rippy’s, it’s some of the best in the Lower Broadway area. Because of the abundance of tables and barstools on both floors, you won’t have to wait long for a seat. The music at Rippy’s is always great, so many prefer to hang out on the upper balcony. Look at their Facebook to see if they have any special deals going on; they’re fairly excellent at updating it.

Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row – Nashville Nightclub & Restaurant

Address: 400 Broadway, Nashville, TN 372SX03

Contact: 629-203-7822 / [email protected]

Opening & Closing time: Sunday 10:00 AM – 3:00 AM; Monday – Thursday 11:00 AM – 3;00 AM; Friday & Saturday 10:00 AM – 3:00 AM

Website: https://dierkswhiskeyrow.com/nashville-tn

Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row is somewhat an enigma. Dierks wisely anticipated the bar’s success, so he opened a location in Music City (the first location was in Arizona). Besides a self-proclaimed “gastropub” with outlandish drink specials, Whiskey Row serves a vast variety of options on the menu, from fettuccine to chicken and waffles. You will also find everything at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row fantastic, from the atmosphere to the cuisine to the music.

The ground floor of Whiskey Row is (really) not that exciting. But there will be a band performing country music, and it’s typically fun to listen to them! However, the true champion resides above ground. The pub features various musical styles, from country to hip-hop DJs, adorned with guitars and a beautiful motorcycle. This is a lot of fun. It has a fantastic DJ and a lounge with amazing views of Lower Broadway below.

Ole Red Nashville – Raising The Bar on Live Music

Address: 300 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37201

Contact: 615-780-0900 / [email protected]

Opening & Closing time: Sunday-Wednesday 11:00 AM — 12:00 AM; Thursday – Saturday 11:00 AM — 2:00 AM

Website: https://olered.com/nashville

You may take my word that Old Red serves the greatest brunch on Lower Broadway. The “Lookout” has a fantastic rooftop setup, perfect for a relaxing brunch with delicious food and beverages while you gaze down the hustle and bustle of Lower Broadway below.

Before 10:00 PM, Ole Red welcomes more of a family-friendly crowd, so don’t be shocked to see parents and adolescents checking out the live music. As for the live music, you can count on their being good at Ole Red.

I usually head directly to the Lookout on the upper floors of Ole Red because the lower levels always seem to have a lingering garbage stink that is worse than any other bar on Broadway.
